Time to have a cup of hot chocolate

During this week I have taken a new habit.

When I come home from work, I go to the kitchen and have a cup of hot chocolate and a sandwich. I sit a while, drink my hot chocolate, eat my sandwich and maybe read a magazine.

It's nice to have a quiet moment with my thoughts and just relax.

Winter time

Now it's time to have some tulips. Those are so beautiful. Even then when those are little bit old and chapped those look beautiful. And white colour tulips are so reduced and elegant.

It's now winter here in Finland. Some days are really cold and then it's nice to spend some time here in our home after work. I have started photographing. It's nice when you find out how your camera work and when you get a nice photograph.

I would also like to read some books, but that seems to be hard for me. I have found only few books that are so interesting that I read them from start to the end.

When we have snow, it also possible to go skiing. That's something I do vere rarely. But instead of that, when it's not soooooooooooo freezing it's nice to go out and enjoy beautiful landscape. This picture has been taken in Levi here in Finland.

Keep it simple

It may be hard to believe, but sometimes it makes your life easier when give up shopping. But at first that may not be easy to do. Becaue when you have used to fill up your days with shopping, it may be hard to stay away from shops and do something else instead of that.



My son gave me an aphorism "Collect memories, not things". And that really is wisely said.

I have started my work to create a minimalistic home. Of course there are things I won't give away, but now I will concentrate to that what is essential. And as I have understood it right, the number of things is not the main point in minimalism. In stead of that it is essential that you pick up only those thing that you really need. And maybe you can find new more natural ways to cope. For example you can walk instead of getting by car. And maybe you can spend relaxing moment at home reading book instead of going from shop to shop.
